I have been 1000% satisfied with this UPS reliability, quality and functioning. I have not used the warranty but it is good to know that CyberPower has so much confidence in their UPS hardware that they put a full 3year warranty on them. I purchased this almost three years ago to replace an aging Tripplite UPS that backedup my Resmed Bi-Pap. This UPS is a perfect addition to my BiPap sleep system. The UPS sits quietly on the floor, behind my nightstand. Once you become accustomed to sleeping with a Bi-Pap, you are unable to go back to horrible Sleep Apnea sleeplessness. So a reliable and quiet UPS is an absolute necessity. I have used a Bi-Pap machine for 18years, and have used any number of different companies UPS. All required me to open the unit to disable the AC alarm(cut the circuit), and most had replaceable batteries, but none other than CyberPower made it easy and truly lasted three years on a set of batteries. My purchase decision criteria was three fold. 1.) The batteries must supply 60 Hz and be able to run my Bi-Pap machine for a full night's sleep. 1500Va has been able to suypply power to my Bi-Papfor over 6hrs., with the Power company outage. 2.) The unit needed to be urlra-reliable - CyberPower's full 3 Year warranty (incl. Batteries) fit the bill. It has run every night, all night for 31months ... FLAWLESSLY!! :-) 3.) The UPS had to have a MUTE button. This does !!! I immediately turned it off and have never heard a beeping. :-) This is IMHO a perfect UPS and is well worth every penny. !!! Thank you CyberPower.!

I purchased this UPS in 2009, over six years ago. I use it to protect/power my entertainment system and modem/router. It has never once missed a beat. I test it a couple times a year to ensure that it can still hold a charge, and there has been no appreciable drop in overall capacity. There's a reason they've been selling this same model since 2003 - it works like a champ. I'm considering buying another one!

I purchased this UPS from Amazon back in August 2011 to support my iMac and a substantial number of peripherals - external drives plugged into powered USB hubs, studio monitors, printers, recording interface, etc. It has been running steadily since then, protecting my equipment through South Florida power fluctuations. It suddenly started beeping last weekend, the LCD dimmed and slowly flashing on and off, and the unit was not outputting enough power to support my equipment. I shut everything down and researched the symptoms. I didn't find anything resembling how my unit was behaving, but given the length of time I had it (almost 7 1/2 years), I surmised that it was a dead battery. I purchased a new battery CyberPower RB1280X2A Replacement Battery Cartridge, Maintenance-Free, User Installable, replaced it, and the unit is back up and running like a champ. The battery was relatively easy to replace. The only difficulty I had was getting the old battery out of the UPS - it was wedged in their tightly - but I managed to finally shimmy it loose. I am thrilled with the performance and reliability of this unit. I had been purchasing APC UPS models before this one, but after multiple bad experiences with unreliable performance, I did some research to find a brand/model with a better track record. I am happy to confirm all these years later that I made the right choice. I would definitely buy it again.

I have been buying ups to protect my electronics since 1990, and have tried everything from APC to Tripplite and others in between. They all died after as little as 1 1/2-years, and never got more than 3-years of service. While some failures were limited to battery failures, others were circuitry and spelled the death of the unit. I always tried to replace the battery as a 1st step and sometimes got another 1-2 years of life and then the entire unit failed. 3-years ago I bought my 1st CyberPower ups and it is still going...meanwhile the 3rd APC I have owned died while running concurrently with the CyberPower, and therefore subject to the same power interruptions. Here in Wyoming, we have significant power interruptions and quality issues primarily due to weather, and going forward I will purchase only CyberPower.

Great UPS. I was hesitant on buying due to the (despite old) bad reviews about this, but for the price and capacity why not try it. Got it, set it up and everything worked as expected. The UPS was already charged to 90%, after charging to 100% (only took 10~ mins) no problems. Perfect product, great to have for anyone who works at home or has often power outages. The PowerPanel application gives estimated runtime, if you're curious, here is my setup and estimated runtime on the battery: 1x 1080p LED Monitor 1x PC (AMD FX-8350, 500W PSU, 24GB RAM, 2x SSD, AMD RX 480 GPU) The device said 0.8A / 125V~ while running both idle. Estimated runtime remaining with 100% charge is around 45-60 minutes as it fluctuates, this is while I was running Chrome, Discord, Skype, Battle.net, and a few other minor programs. While gaming (Overwatch, World of Warcraft) runtime goes down to 20-25 minutes. Update October 2017: Runtime when using battery backup is great. I can easily get 1 full hour (58-68 minutes) of use on my system while idle or doing light tasks like web browsing on tethered data. Best purchase I've made in a while!

I got this thing to run a brand new iMac and some other peripherals. Perhaps obviously, the first thing I did was test it by yanking power. Worked fine. I didn't test exactly how long things would stay on, but that's going to vary anyway based on what I decide to keep running for a little while. Bottom line is it seems like solid protection against little day-to-day line fluctuations. (Fortunately, we don't get too many of those, but they happen.) And it'll allow an orderly shut down of things if power goes all the way out. This unit is a little heavy and bulky, but I'm not sure you can do any better in that regard for something with this level of capacity. UPDATE: Today we lost power in the middle of the work day. I had my iMac, cable modem and some other stuff plugged in. This worked flawlessly. With everything I had plugged in, it reported I was good to go for another 80 minutes or so. We got power back in 45 minutes. I work from home. This allowed my work day to not really be interrupted. No need to find a local coffee shop. I did decide to silence the alert with the mute button as that gets annoying if you're actually working through the outage as best you can. Then just put it back on when power came back.

I have had this UPS system for over a year now and I love it! I bought one for my computer and one for my husband's computer. Last year we got hit by Irma and I have to say this was a real lifesaver! We were able to keep our phones charged because of the battery back up in this thing. We were without electricity for about 7 days, and even though this item did not last that long, it did last most of it. I am really happy I bought this system! I have to say that this UPS exceeded my expectations! I plan to buy another for my daughters computer and maybe even my sons. I would highly recommend this product to friends, family and strangers!! Thank you so much!! CyberPower CP1500AVRLCD Intelligent LCD UPS System, 1500VA/900W, 12 Outlets, AVR, Mini-Tower

I have always been a big fan of APC products however, I decided to try the CyberPower UPS over my normal APC units due to the lack of support I received from APC recently. The CyberPower has a slightly smaller profile in both length and height compared to both the APC XS 1300 and 1500 models. The display is bright and easy to read showing the user Input Voltage, Hertz, Load and Battery Life. All function buttons are larger and easier to press than the comparable APC brand. There is also a clearly marked mute button on the face of the CyberPower model to silence any alarms that may occur. While I sometime get power fluctuations or surge cycling from both the CyberPower and the APC models, I get far less through the CyberPower model. It can be quite annoying at night while sleeping and you hear " Click, Click" , "Click, Click" in the middle of the night. I recently had a bad storm move through the area and we lost power. The CyberPower unit stayed online longer, had more of a load than my APC model, and protected my electronics as expected. The display on the CyberPower has better contrast making it easier to read from a distance. The APC model has more of a blue like tint that is only a few shades darker than the actual text itself. Replacement batteries are close in price but you often see a back and forth sale battle between Cyberpower and APC. At the time of this review both are in the ball park of $60. Keep in mind you may not need a replacement battery for several years after your purchase. I am not running this battery back up on a full load; its never been my practice to do so. I am only supplying power to a PC, LED monitor, Modem, Router, set of speakers (surge side only) and a small desk lamp (surge side only). If you are on the fence between CyberPower and APC, I wouldn't hesitate to give the CyberPower model a try. I hope this review helps you out.

It took a while to get the right product because there are two versions of this product (same product code). Amazon have it right. On the Amazon web site this unit has 12 power outlets (6 with surge protection and 6 with surge and battery). The "other" CP1500AVRLCD has 8 power outlets and a blue LED screen on the front. Some web sites picture the 12-socket version like Amazon but ship the 8 outlet product so buy from Amazon!. I like this unit for a number of reasons - a good size for a home office (physically and 1500VA), physically attractive and it has a USB connection for my Synology NAS so that the NAS can power down gracefully. I charged the batteries and After plugging in a Mac Pro, one monitor, cable modem, Apple Airport Extreme, 8-port switch, Synology 2-drive NAS, the system handles them very adequately with headroom. I like having the display which can be turned on from the front panel. I let the system turn it off after a couple of minutes until the next time I check the voltage levels. I am using the co-ax and the ethernet connections also. In choosing this unit I was mindful of the various disk drives I have for power planning - 2 in the NAS, four in the Mac Pro, and then the Mac circuitry. I could have purchased a 1000VA or a 1350VA product from CyberPower but I like having the headroom. I really like the Synology NAS feature also. Remember to turn on the UPS control in the Synology NAS if you have one. All I have to do now is load up the NAS with my data and my setup will be complete until the next growth spurt. Don't forget, on-site and off-site data backups and backup power for gracefull shut downs to protect your data. I know I am preaching to the choir. I like this unit. I wrote an email to support for help on the specs and they replied the same or next day. GREAT!

Hooks up and works right out of the box. Install the software from their web site if you wish and a battery charge icon will show up on the taskbar. Basically that's all I need. There is more on the CyberPower UPS CP1500AVRLCD like wattage being consumed ect. Simple is the way I like it. Battery life is dependent on how many watts it is using during an outage. I only have the monitor and tower (320watt) power supply connected to the UPS part. Everything else is to the surge side only. * If I get 2 hours out of it I will be happy. I generally find that as the battery ages it has less reserve to give you Thus from my experience 4 years is the replacement time or sooner. I generally replace at that point rather than face a fast dying battery on an outage. This is the 2nd Cyber power unit have. The original unit is now powering my router and modum only. Just be aware that Cyberpower makes 2 types of UPS. One is Active waveform, active PFC compatability and is required by some power supplies. This UPS does not have those compatibily needs nor does this computer. If not sure, just be sure just get one that has those compatiblities. Most do not require it though. Basically it seems the high energy star ones do require it. Repacement batteries are easy to install and available from many different suppliers at reasonable cost. Just be sure the AMPs are the same or higher as the OEM battery was.
